Magnesium Sulphate 50% Concentrated Injection 2.5g in 5mL
Magnesium sulphate injection is a sterile solution containing magnesium sulphate 500mg per mL of water for injections. Each mL is equivalent to 2 mmol (4 mEq) of magnesium ions and 2 mmol (4 mEq) of sulphate ions.
Indication
Magnesium sulphate injection is approved for the treatment of acute hypomagnesaemia including the prevention and treatment of life-threatening seizures in the treatment of toxaemias of pregnancy (pre-eclampsia and eclampsia) and the emergency treatment of some arrhythmias such as Torsade de Pointes and those associated with hypokalemia.
